Rowdies vs. University of South Florida Exhibition Game

Keith Savage gave the Rowdies their first goal in the 23rd minute of the match burying the ball in the left corner of the net off of free kick just outside the 18-yard-box.

The game remained 1-0 until the second half when the Rowdies scored in the 62nd minute. Savage popped the ball over USF's defensive line to Forward Aaron King who lofted the ball into the back of the net.

Omar Jarun sealed the win for the Rowdies in the 71st minute heading the ball in giving the Rowdies a 3-0 victory, assisted by David Hayes.

The Rowdies took control of the game early outshooting USF 19-5. Midfielder Tony McManus got the first shot off in the 11th minute with a high left-footed cross from Pascal Millien. The ball soars just above the net.

Millien took back to back shots on the net in the 14th minute and 17th minutes.

In the 31st minute Takuya Yamada's shot hit the crossbar after an excellent pass from Forward Aaron King whose fancy footwork sent a USF defender sliding near the six-yard-box.

In the 37th minute King sent a searing shot that was bobbled and then collected by USF Keeper Eric Oswald.

A USF free kick in the 43rd minute of the game was deflected off of Defender Omar Jarun's diving header. -using every one of his 6'5. USF answered back shortly after with a shot that Goalkeeper Daryl Sattler easily corraled. USF gets a few more chances in their offensive half before the halftime whistle is blown.

In the second half USF made a few more valiant attempts offensively. Rowdies' Defender JP Rodrigues slide tackled USF Forward Christopher Waugh just outside of the six-yard-box preventing any opportunity for a shot.

Again in the 87th minute USF created a goal-scoring opportunity but was shut down by the Rowdies' defenders and sent the ball into the outside netting of the goal.

 The Rowdies was able to maintain control throughout the game with short passes and by creating opportunities on the net.
