Rowdies vs. Carolina Railhawks

Carolina Railhawks 3 vs. Rowdies 1
The Rowdies dropped a 3-1 decision to the Carolina RailHawks Saturday night at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina. The win marked the eighth consecutive victory for the RailHawks and extended Carolina's unbeaten streak to 11 straight.
"It is a disappointing loss," said Rowdies head coach Ricky Hill. "It is a 90 minute game and I ask our team to maintain concentration for the duration of the game. I thought we had a decent performance in the first half, but that means nothing because we did not sustain it in the final 45 minutes."
The Rowdies scored first on a goal by forward Warren Ukah in the 18th minute, his second of the season. Midfielder Tsuyoshi Yoshitake fired a shot that was saved by Knighton, but the rebound bounced to Ukah, who deposited it into the back of the net.
Carolina responded in the 36th minute as Matt Watson put a shot behind Rowdies goalkeeper Jeff Attinella to tie the match at 1. The goal marked Watson's second of the season and came on a pass from forward Etienne Barbara for his league-leading sixth assist of the year.
Forward Mike Ambersley had the Rowdies' best chance in the second half. In the 59th minute, he flicked the ball past Knighton before colliding with the Carolina goalkeeper, but the ball trickled just outside the far post.
Carolina took its first lead of the contest as Barbara scored his league-leading 13th goal of the season with a score in the 69th minute. The RailHawks put the game away in injury time when Barbara fed second half sub Allan Russell for the final goal.
