Seminole High School is where I went, as did these two fellows. Both were about 3 or 4 years younger than I. Craig was a known solid player. Mark was not so good at about 14 years old, then 2 or 3 years later saw him at an informal gathering with his Seminole High School teamates- he was just rocketing every cross given to him into the goal from all angles. He obviously trained very hard with dedication. Says a lot about Seminole's rich soccer culture, really loving the sport with feeling, and good comitted coaching at the club level and school. The earlier Tampa Bay Rowdies were largely to thank for this- always putting on exciting exhibitions in the community. At the middle school played soccer-volleyball in the school gym. Before the official school team was formed in 1981 (which won the county championship), the Rowdies played a local Seminole club team at the school stadium in which the Rowdies had about 30 seconds to score or surrender the ball, The Rowdies won handily. It totally demonstrated how tremendous the Rowdies were! And how exciting it is to actually play!
